Graveside Services for Cliff Jamison of Salesville, Arkansas, formerly of Promise Land will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Beard officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion post #52 honor guard. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Kirby and Family Funeral Home. He died Friday, October 29, 2010 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 61.
Cliff was born April 6, 1949 in Elgin, IL, the son of Earl and Thelma Sue Coryell Jaimson. He married Diane McCoombs on July 10, 1981 at Wheaton, IL. While in Wheaton, he was a partner in an appliance store. He was an officer and first responder for the Oakland/Promise Land and Salesville Fire Depts. and was also a volunteer fireman and paramedic his entire adult life in IL and AR. Cliff Jamison was a U.S. Navy veteran whose service included underwater welding and served two tours in Vietnam. Cliff lived in the Promise Land Community and Salesville since May 21, 1992 moving from Arlington Heights, IL. After moving to Arkansas he worked at the Mountain Home Wal Mart store for 14 years.
Cliff is survived by son - Doug (Renee) Wacyra of Kenosha, IL; daughter - RoseEllyn Parfrey of Craig, CO; and 3 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central AR.
