Visitation for Clifton J. Robinson of Mountain Home, will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Tuesday, February, 8, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church, Hazen, Arkansas with Dr. David Johnson and Reverend Daniel Kirkpatrick officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until service time at the church.
Clifton died Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 66. He was born February 26, 1944 in Camden, Arkansas, the son of Reverend D.V. and Beatrice Elizabeth Hasley Robinson. He married Maudie Nail on August 27, 1964 at Brasfield, Arkansas. He was the owner and operator of an LP Gas Co., in De Valls Bluff, AR for 26 years and from 1989 through 2007 he was a hunting guide and caretaker for a hunting property in De Valls Bluff. Clifton lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since October of 2007 moving from Devalls Bluff, Arkansas. He had a love of the outdoors.
Clifton is survived by his wife, Maudie Robinson, of Mountain Home, AR; 2 sons, Lee Gregory (Melody)Robinson of Hazen, AR and Lonnie (Robin) Robinson of Mountain Home, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Beth Robinson of Hazen, AR; sister, Debbie Cook of Des Arc, AR; 7 grandchildren, Katelyn, Hunter, Natalie, Vandon, Stone, Caroline and Mari Claire. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Gary Alan Robinson.
Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery, De Valls Bluff, Arkansas with Tommy Price, Lamar Coyle, Jim Rhodes, David Hardke, Don Shuck and Bill Cook as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be June Gresham, Steve Watson, Randy Northern, Hank Browne, Brooks Castleberry, Phillip Nail, Willard Harrison, Austin Nail, Stanley Young, Jody Nail and Billy Harrison.
During his time on this earth, Clifton made many memories and much laughter, worked hard and loved much. Though his recent years were filled with many medical problems, the most significant decision of his life was made on August 29, 2010 when he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He is now in the presence of his Creator and his body has been made whole.
Memorials may be made to the Reppell Diabetes Learning Center at Baxter Regional Medical Center, 624 Hospital Dr., Mountain Home, AR 72653.
