Funeral Services for Colleen R. Pearson, 83, of Mountain Home, Arkansas will be held 11AM Saturday, 26 January 26, 2013, at Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4-6PM Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, AR. Colleen entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2013.
Colleen was born April 7, 1929, at Bourbonnais, Illinois to Edgar and Gertrude Perry Tetrault. Colleen buried two husbands, Leonard Nickels and Robert Pearson. After losing her first husband, Leonard, she went back to Beverly Business School and then she and husband Robert operated the West Kankakee Dairy Queen for many years. Colleen was actively involved in her children?s lives through the PTA and scouting. She was a talented artist.
Colleen is survived by her three sons, Marty (Lynn) Nickels of Bull Shoals, AR, Jeffrey (Mary) Pearson of Lexington, KY and Timothy Pearson of Oak Park, IL; brother, Len (Ruby) Tetrault of Bonfield, IL; sister, Juanita Krull of McHenry, IL; grandchildren, Michael (Kara) Nickels, Sarah (Shane) Welch, Luke (Shelly) Pearson, Ben Pearson; four great-grandchildren and Carla the Cat.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and daughter-in-law, Charlene Pearson.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens Cemetery with nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Hospice House of the Ozarks and the Bull Shoals Food Pantry.
