Daniel Harrington

Daniel Harrington died Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 78. He was born Monday, October 13, 1930 in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Joseph and Anna Lathen Harrington. He married Linda Reis on December 26, 1981 at Jesup, Georgia. He worked as a Structural Engineer for various companies including Reynolds Aluminum. Daniel Harrington was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Daniel lived in Mountain Home since 1993 moving from Carroll, Iowa. He enjoyed photography, reading and traveling. He was a member of the Korean War Vets and Earth Science Club. In 2000 he attended the 50th anniversary of the Korean War in Korea. Survivors: Daniel Harrington is survived by his wife, Linda Harrington, son, John Joseph Harrington of Carmel, IN, daughter, Lydia Danielle Harrington of Amherst, MA, sister, Joann Lieding of Milwaukee, WI, a nephew and numerous cousins. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Carolyn. Visitation: Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M., Sunday, April 12 with a Vigil Rosary Service at 7PM at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: A Funeral Mass for Daniel Joseph Harrington of Mountain Home, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 13, 2009 at St. Peter to Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverand James Fanrak officiating and with Tom Elder, Ed Sullivan, Gil DeLorenzo, Larry Hicks and Robert Stoffaren as pallbearers. Burial: Burial will be in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Carrollton, Georgia with Military Honors. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church Building Fund, Diabetic Association or Korean War Vets.
