Danny David Hardy of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on October 24, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on April 20, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Dennis and Dorothy Giese Hardy. Danny grew up in Herman Gardens alongside his siblings.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Danny served in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. In 1987, he married Dawn Bonk in Clarkston, Michigan. Danny dedicated 30 years of service to Chrysler Automotive before retiring in 1998. In the same year, he moved to Arkansas, where he embraced life and the outdoors.
Danny found joy in simple pleasures: fishing, collecting DVDs, working in the yard, and building projects around his home. He was well-known for his kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Hardy; his son, John Hardy; three grandchildren, Tabitha (David) Hochstein, Reed (Robyn) Hardy, and Alexis Hardy; seven great-grandchildren, Layla, Kendall, Melanie, Caleb, Mekhi, Kamaiyah, and Kimari; as well as a treasured brother-in-law, Scott Bonk. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, including his brother, Denny Hardy, and sisters Patti Hardy and Sharon Choronzy.
