Darrell L Boyd

Darrell Lee Boyd, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Mtn. Home, AR after a courageous fight from complications after a stroke. Born on May 3, 1952, in Mtn. Home, AR, to the late Ray F. Boyd and Betty J. (Davidson) Boyd, Darrell's journey was one of profound love and connection.
After high school, Darrell started a lifelong career in the construction industry, however his heart truly came alive in his passions: the exhilaration of motocross racing, the tranquility of boating, the joy of spending cherished moments with his family and friends, and the simple pleasure of caring for his birds.
Darrell had a zest for life and was always doing something. He was known for his big smile and outgoing personality that made everyone feel welcome. He was a devoted friend, mentor, son, brother, and father; a strong “rock” for others. He had a way to make you feel special bringing smiles and laughter to those who knew him.
Darrell is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Larry Gene Boyd. However, his legacy lives on through his loved ones. He is survived by his children, Michelle Garcia (Gabriel) of Brentwood, TN, Cody Lee Boyd of Centennial, CO and his stepdaughter Shanna Mauser of Aurora, CO; his four siblings, Ronald Ray Boyd of Harrison, AR, Dale Franklin Boyd of Mtn. Home, AR, Terry Wayne Boyd of Flagstaff, AZ and Donna Boyd Smith (Mark) of Austin, TX; his four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial will be held at Arkana Baptist Church at 10919 Hwy 201 South in Mtn. Home, AR on August 26, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a visitation with family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family cemetery, Martin Cemetery, or the Hospice House of the Ozarks are appreciated. Darrell’s memory will be cherished, and his impact on others will be forever remembered.
