David Buckner

David W. "Buck" Buckner was born July 27, 1914 at Kansas City, Kansas to David Andrew and Flora Thoengen Buckner. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1976 after 39 ½ years of service. He married Mary Ella Addison in Mountain Home, Arkansas on April 28, 1961 and moved to Mountain Home in 1980 from Kansas City, Kansas. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, the United Transportation Union and the AARP. David "Buck" Buckner passed away on December 11, 2006 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home at the age of 92 years, 4 months and 14 days. Survivors: He is survived by: One Brother; Frank Buckner and his wife Shirley of Gravois Mills, Missouri,Two Sisters: Patricia Dustin of Laurie, Missouri and Catherine Cornelisse of Gravois Mills, Missouri. Preceded in Death by: His parents, his wife, one sister Cecilia Dilbeck and one brother Arthur Buckner. Visitation: Visitation will be held at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until time to go to the church at 10:45. Funeral: A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2006 with Reverend Charles Kanu the Celebrant. Burial: Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, Kansas with Reverend Richard Storey officiating. Memorials: St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas Active Bearers: Raymond Bladdick, Frank Vlasic, John Gan, Roger Gonzagowski, Dennis McKamey and Lawrence Noker.
