Beloved Husband, Father, Son, Grandfather, and Veteran
David Ehrman, 61, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024. He proudly served his nation for 30 years in the United States Army, rising to First Sergeant. A decorated leader and mentor, he exemplified honor, courage, and commitment throughout his military career and left a lasting impact on those who served alongside him.
After retiring from the Army, David embraced the joys of civilian life, devoting his time to his family and the land he cherished. He shared a special bond with his granddaughters, Anne Marie and Zella Leigh, often spending days trout fishing on the banks of his favorite spots, creating memories they will hold dear forever. An accomplished marksman, David found peace in the precision and discipline of the sport. His love for working his land reflected his deep appreciation for nature and the value of hard work.
David was preceded in death by his father, Kent Ehrman, and sister Lisa Duke.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lisa Ehrman; his children, Daniel Ehrman and Dr. Kayla Leigh Ehrman (Joe Munn); his beloved mother, Joann Ehrman; his cherished granddaughters, Anne Marie and Zella Leigh; his sister, Misty (Vernon) Rowden; his niece, Courtney (Anthony) Thacker; his nephew, Zach Alexander; and a host of extended family, including cousins and friends.
David’s sudden loss leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his legacy of love, service, and integrity will forever be a source of strength and inspiration.
A private service will be held to honor David’s memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to organizations dedicated to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s or to the Wounded Warrior Project, reflecting David’s values and passions.
Rest in peace, David.
Your love, laughter, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
