David Homolka

October 24, 1930 — April 23, 2009

He was born Friday, October 24, 1930 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of David Francis and Olive McGinn Homolka. He married Pearl Truelson on March 3, 1973 in Mound, Minnesota and worked in Sales and Credit Management. David Homolka was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean era. David lived in Mountain Home since 1981 moving from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a member of the ELKS and enjoyed fishing, playing poker and doing yard work. Survivors: David Homolka is survived by his wife, Pearl Homolka and 3 sons, David A. (Cheryl) Homolka of Shakopee, MN, Daniel M. (Becky Lokken) Homolka of Edina, MN and Douglas K. (Pam) Rethlake-Homolka of Savage, MN, daughter, Denise (Dan) Reinartz of St. Paul, MN, Step-daughter, Helen Beall, of Manhasset, NY, Step-daughter-in-law, Jeanette Truelson, of Kasson, MN 13 grandchildren, David Jon, Andrea Lynn and James Robert Homolka, Kristen (Andre) Benassi, Joseph Reinartz, Michael and Kaitlyn Homolka, Ashley and Emily Rethlake-Homolka, Charles, David and Andrew Beall, Bryan (Jenny) Truelson, 5 great-grandchildren, Luca, Liam and Elianna Benassi, Tyler Truelson, Brandon, and Niece, Michelle Hale. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, sister, Betty Homolka, step-son, Paul Truelson, and son-in-law, Pete Beall. Visitation: Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time. Funeral: will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 27, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor David Johnson officiating. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks.
