A Celebration of Life for David Michael Howe of Flippin, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Thursday, August 18, 2016, at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals, AR, with Reverend Donnie Hudson officiating.
David passed away August 4, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas after a long battle with Progressive Supernuclear Palsy at the age of 71. He was born August 18, 1944, in Portage, Wisconsin, the son of Emmett and Evelyn Thorpe Howe. He married Susan Stump Molloy on August 30, 1985, at Grand Lake, Colorado and was a self-employed construction worker specializing in concrete flatwork. David was a U.S. Navy veteran. David enjoyed hiking, wildlife photography, birding, and traveling. He also volunteered with the Red Cross, Bull Shoals White River State Park, Bull Shoals Food Pantry, Low Cost Spay, Neuter Clinic, and Christmas Wish.
David is survived by his wife, Susan Howe of Flippin, AR; two sons, David Howe, Jr. of CO and Peter Howe of TX; grandson, Kelly Howe of UT; beloved sister, Marilyn Houk of WI; brothers, Pat, Derl, Duane and Phillip; sisters, Eva (Jerry), Lola (Ron) and Mary; stepsons, David and Joseph Molloy; step-daughter, Lisa (Alberto) Mejia; step-grandchildren, Nick, Benjamin and Sydney; many loving nieces and nephews; special brother and sister-in-law, Cindy and Rob Martin of Lakeview, AR; canine companions, Katydid and Teal and Sammy the cat.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jack, Hilary and Jude and sister, Lois.
Memorials may be made to the Bull Shoals Food Pantry or the Volunteer Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic.
