A Memorial Service for David Stauffer of Bull Shoals, AR will be 11AM February 28 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church with Brother Patrick Norris officiating. David died at his home February 18, 2014.
David was born April 12, 1935, to Glenn and Frankie Marie Jones Stauffer. He and wife Joan Skipworth Stauffer were married for 54 years before her passing in 2012. David spent his life educating youth either by teaching science or coaching. His love of coaching went from college football to high school football. Three of his former players are in the Football Hall of Fame. He also coached track, baseball, and wrestling. David was a bigger than life kind of man.
He is survived by his two sons, John Stauffer of Bull Shoals, AR and Michael Stauffer of Oceanside, CA; daughter, Leslie Jo Loper (Pat) of Tuscon, AZ; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His parents, wife and one brother preceded him in death.
