Dean Walker

Dean Walker was born Tuesday, November 22, 1938 in Ripon, Wisconsin, the son of Ross Speigler and Gustine Snickenberger. At a young age he was adopted by Harold and Grace Speigler Walker. He married Janice Larsen on March 3, 1962 at Poynette, Wisconsin and worked as a maintenance and groundskeeper for the Mountain Home Public Schools. Dean lived in Mountain Home since 1978 moving from Evanston, Illinois. He died Friday, February 20, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 28 days. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Janice Walker, 2 sons, Scott (Fatima) Walker of San Diego, CA and Matt Walker of Dallas, TX, 1 daughter, Laurie (Harold) DePriest of Midway, AR, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and sister, Margo (Barry) Pufehl of Pardeeville, WI. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Gene and brother Robert, sister, Phyllis and nephew Terry. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M., Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bill Hughes officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.
