Funeral services for Delorna "Deke" Tucker of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00AM Thursday, December 23, 2010 at First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Siegfried Johnson and Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Deke died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 90. She was born June 12, 1920 in Lakefield, Minnesota, the daughter of A.G. and Jennie Butterfield Walton. She married Harold Tucker on April 8, 1937 at Cotter, Arkansas and was a homemaker. Delorna "Deke" lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1936 moving from Minnesota. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Delorna "Deke" is survived by 2 sons, Gary (Bobbie) Tucker of Mountain Home, AR and Steven (Belinda) Tucker; 1 daughter, Shirley (Luke) Poynter of Mountain Home, AR; 6 grandchildren, David Poynter of Little Rock, AR, Karen (Rick) Watkins of Gassville, AR, Michael (Shelly) Tucker of Mountain Home, AR, Jane (Bashan) Bradbury of Mountain Home, AR, Russell (Erin) Tucker of Lakeview, AR and Karla (Josh) Thompson of Lakeview, AR and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers and 1 grandson.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund or American Diabetes Association.
