Della Mae McCallister

April 1, 1931 — November 13, 2020

Della Mae McCallister of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away November 13, 2020, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. She was born April 1, 1931, in Summersville, Missouri, the daughter of Thurman and Alice Alumbaugh Anderson. She married Paul McCallister on November 25, 1951, in Licking, Missouri and was an office manager for the Texas County Soil and Water Conservation Department. Della lived in Mountain Home since moving from Houston, Missouri, in 2013. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Houston, Missouri. She enjoyed serving others and spending time with as many of her family as she could get.

Della is survived by her two sons, Terry (Susan) McCallister of SantaFe, NM, and Larry (Lynn) McCallister of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Kathy (Randy) Gonten of Mountain Home, AR; one sister-in-law, Roena Barton of Summersville, MO; four grandchildren, Samantha (Matt) Stone of Willard, MO, Jennifer (Justen) Klemme of Springfield, MO, Philip (Jocelyn) Gonten of Mountain Home, AR and Shannon McCallister of Atlanta, GA; six great-grandchildren, Christian and Carson Stone, Aubrey and Weston Klemme and Kennedy and Lincoln Gonten and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, and husband.

A Graveside Service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at the Summersville City Cemetery, Summersville, Missouri, with Reverend Richard Crawford officiating. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.

Memorials may be made to The Gideons International, www.gideons.org or East Side Baptist Church, 718 E. 9th. St., Mountain Home, AR.
