Delma Peterson

Delma Lenore Peterson, 95, passed away April 18, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born to Arthur and Sarah Walker on November 28, 1916 in Ellsworth County, Kansas. She and husband Edwin ?Pete? Peterson, operated a grocery store for 8 years in Brookville, Kansas. She then worked as a bank teller, first in Brookville, and then at what is now Sunflower Bank in Salina, Kansas for approximately 30 years. Delma enjoyed taking trips and, after retiring, traveled to most of the 50 U.S. states, including Hawaii and Alaska. She lived her last eight years at Monroe House in Mountain Home. Delma is survived by sister, Norma Turner of Salina, Kansas, daughter, Sharon Stager of Woodbury, Minnesota, son, Gary Peterson of Clarkridge, Arkansas, seven grand-children, seventeen great grand-children, and two great great grand-children. She was preceeded in death by husband, Pete, brother, Elton Walker, sisters, Lila Wikoff, and Melda Smith, and great grand-daughter, Kelly Stager. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, April 23, 2012 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina, Kansas with Reverend Amy Bowers, officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina, Kansas. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
