Delores Eastwold

A Gathering of Friends for Delores Ann Eastwold, 74, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas will be from 2:30- 6:00PM Tuesday October 11, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals followed by a 6:30PM candlelight memorial service and burial at Fairview Cemetery. Delores passed away October 7, 2011 at her home. Delores was born September 26, 1937 at Aurora, IL to Marshall Philip ?Bunny? and Maxine Bailey Cole. She married her childhood sweetheart, John Eastwold, September 15, 1956. Delores and John moved to Bull Shoals in 1972 and worked tirelessly to build the Bull Shoals Boat Dock into one of the largest marinas in the state. The family also owns Lighthouse Point Resort. Delores dedicated her life to her beloved husband John, the Boat Dock and her grandchildren. Her collection of dolls and trolls are infamous. She was a firecracker of a woman and will be remembered as ?chickadee?, her self given nickname, by family and workers at the Boat Dock. Delores was a member of the Hoevel-Barnett Post 1341 VFW Ladies Auxiallary. Delores is survived locally by her two sons, Steve (Cindi) of Fairview, AR and Ricky Eastwold of Bull Shoals, AR; two grandsons, Kevin (Deena) and Ryan of Bull Shoals, AR. She has one sister. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
