Services for Dennis Franklin Chapman of Salesville, Arkansas, will be private. Dennis passed away November 12, 2012, at his residence, at the age of 65. He was born January 1, 1947 at Terre Haute, Indiana, the son of Carl B. and Lucy Eloise Griffith Chapman. He was a U.S. Army veteran and Green Beret. He was a historian, had a Master's Degree in History and a member of the National Park Service. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Montie (Karlyn) Chapman of Collierville, TN; aunt, JoAnn Griffith of Casey, IL; two nephews, Dustin Chapman of Collierville, TN and Preston Chapman of Collierville, TN and one niece, Bethany Chapman of Tuskalousa, AL. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
