Dennis Maran

Dennis James ‘D.J’ Maran of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away June 21, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 47. He was born August 5, 1976, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the son of Dennis James ‘Bugsy’ and Bonnie Kozak Maran. Dennis worked as a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the city of Gamaliel. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, being on the lake, and spending time outdoors. 

Dennis is survived by his sister, Tammy (James Watson) Powers of Conway, AR; daughter, Lenore Wells of Glasgow, KY; mother of his daughter, Veronika Wells; nieces, Catherine (Haze) Diprima-Hernanadez of Mission Viejo, CA and Madison Powers of Conway, AR; nephew, Jacob Powers of Morrilton, AR; aunts, Debbie Caleb of Maple Heights, OH; Charlene Smith of Flippin, AR and uncle, Charles (Kathy) Kozak of Myrtle Beach, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A Celebration of Life with Family and Friends is pending. 

The family would like to thank Dennis’ friends: April Ward, Rob Alexander, Josh Cox, Tim and Tammy Pardin, Zak Brunson and Rob Griffith. A special thank you to Rob Griffith for providing CPR and encouragement to Dennis at the scene. Knowing that Dennis was with a long-time family friend has brought his family comfort.
