Dewey Morris Hood

Funeral Services for Dewey Morris Hood, 86, of Bull Shoals, AR will be 2PM Wednesday December 16, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Bull Shoals with Pastors Jerry Backus and Gary Wise officiating. Visitation will be from 1PM until time of service. Military Honors will be given by Hoevel-Barnett Post #1341 VFW and the United States Navy. Dewey died in Mountain Home, AR on Friday, December 11, 2015, at Mtn. Home, AR.

Dewey was born September 21, 1929, at Philcampbell, AL to Preston and Betra Teal Hood. He served his country in both Korea and Vietnam as a Chief Petty Officer with the United States Navy. He married Janet Krueger in El Monte, CA on April 24, 1949. Dewey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bull Shoals.

Dewey is survived by his wife, Janet of Bull Shoals, AR; son, Steve (Barbara) Hood and daughter, Debra Hood of San Diego, CA; sister-in-law, Jacqueline (Alex) Gulyas of El Segundo, CA and brother-in-law, James (Deborah) Krueger of Ramona, CA.
