Dolores J. Williams

Dolores Joy Williams age 91 of Mountain Home, AR passed away on August 16, 2024 at Lake Forest Senior Living. 

Dolores was born on December 25, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of parents Anne and Walter Mishler. She was one of five children. 

Dolores graduated from Parker High School in 1950 and raised three children, Patti Joyce, Susan Renae, and Steven James in Chicago with her first husband James McIntosh.

 Dolores married Vernon Clyde Williams in 1991. They happily lived in Monee, IL together for 28 years until Vern’s passing on July 18, 2019.

 Dolores served in many capacities during her professional career, from working at the Campbell’s Soup Factory to driving the bus for her local church.

 Dolores loved to paint, cook, and spend time with her siblings and family. She was a generous, selfless woman serving the Lord and others her entire life. She was also a member of the TOPS organization.

 Dolores lived in the Chicago area for the majority of her life. She moved to Wake Forest, NC in the spring of 2020 and moved to Mountain Home, AR in December of 2023.

 Dolores was a member of the Palos Bible Church in Palos Heights, IL and the Wake Forest United Methodist Church in Wake Forest, NC.

 Remaining to cherish Dolores’s memory are children, Patti Collier, Susan and Hank Gamble, Steven McIntosh and Denise Dubay; grandchildren, Jennifer Collier, Kelsey and Trey Durham, Katelyn and Levi Littler, and Nate Brooks; great-grandchildren, Meghan Cullum and Elliott Durham; brother, Kenneth Mishler; sister, Joyce Tomaras.

 Preceding Dolores in death are spouse, Vernon Williams; brothers, Jack and Joel Mishler.
