Don Aston passed away January 15, 2019, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR at the age of 85. He was born March 29, 1933, in Porterville, California to Reginald and Anna Mozelle Aston. Don served his country proudly during the Korean War in the United States Army and then became a truck driver something he experienced with his grandfather from the early age of 9 years old. He spent many years driving up and down the west coast. Don retired to Ridgedale, Missouri, and in 2003 he moved to Bull Shoals, Arkansas.
Don is survived by his sisters, Beverly Buckley of Redding, CA and Danna Spears of Portervile, CA; cousins, Andrea Kunau and Eddie Aston of Surprise, AR. Don is survived locally by his loving companion, Glenda Wirfs of Bull Shoals, AR whom he dated at the age of 15 in Sourthern California and reconnected in 2001.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Charlene and his brother Bill.
Don enjoyed fishing and as a young man, owned his own plane and loved to fly. He was always known for his cars, even as a teenager. Don restored a Porsche and was proud of the results. Don will be remembered for his kindness and his love for people.
He will be interred with his wife, Charlene in The Colfax Cemetery, Colfax, Iowa.
