Donald Ray Barringer, Sr. of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away June 3, 2021, in Bentonville, Arkansas, at the age of 82. He was born April 3, 1939, in Lacombe, Louisiana, the son of William Pierce Barringer and Lucille King. He was the seventh child of thirteen children. He married Diane Ray on September 28, 1986, in Slidell, Louisiana and was a toll collector for the New Orleans Causeway. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran. Donald lived in Mountain Home since moving from Louisiana, in 2007. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mountain Home. He enjoyed riding his bike, walking and spending time with his family.
Donald is survived by his wife, Diane Ray of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Donald Barringer, Jr. of GA, and Brian Barringer of LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jerome, Alan, Harold, and Howard Barringer; sister, Muriel Barringer.
Visitation will be Monday, June 7, 2021, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Graveside Service for Donald will be 11:00 am, Monday, June 7, 2021, in the Green Burial Section of Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army.
