Donald "Don" Burtram passed away at his home with his wife Rosetta at his side June 1, 2023. Don was born December 4,1937 to John and Lula Burtram. Don worked as a concrete finisher for 20 years. Don loved his country; he was very proud to have served in the US Army in Korea and Germany as a howitzer's gunner. Dons love for the Lord was very important to him! Rosetta was the love of his life, they traveled often to see the beauty God placed here on earth. He was a member of East Oakland Baptist Church since April 18th,2018. Don will be remembered as the candy man. He always had a pocket full of mints to hand out.
Don is survived by his wife Rosetta Burtram of Mt. Home,Arkansas; two sisters, Gayle Watlington and Joy Hudspeth; three brothers, Dale Thompson, Carl Thompson, and Larry Thompson; two adopted daughters, Sherry Oden and Pam Flannery; Debbie Flannery who he loved like a daughter. Numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Phyllis Cowan; two brothers, John Burtram and Tillman Burtram.
A visitation will be held at East Oakland Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in East Oakland Baptist Cemetery with Military Honors.
