Donald "Don" Wayne McCoy

Donald Wayne McCoy of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away June 29, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 78. He was born July 11, 1943, in Concord, California, the son of Earl and Ruby McCoy. He married the love of his life, Patricia Walker, on January 9, 1962, in Lamont, CA and worked as a General Contractor. He lived in Mountain Home since moving from California City, CA with his wife in 2007. He was a member of the Twin Lakes Baptist Church. Don loved building and owned Don McCoy Construction, Inc for over 42 years. In that 42 years, he built over 1000 beautiful homes. Don McCoy, "Papa", enjoyed playing cards with his family, bowling, golfing and telling his funny stories to everyone he met. We could listen to him for hours.
Papa will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him, but we all can find comfort knowing he was reunited with the love of this life, Mamaw, in Heaven, and oh what a wonderful reunion that had to be.

Don is survived by his daughters, Robin (Tom) Ross, of Mountain Home, AR and Kelly (Jack) Wade of Pahrump, NV; three sisters, Earlene Cox, of Bakersfield, CA, Louise McCoy, of Grover Beach, CA and Gale (James) Ernest, of Bakersfield, CA; five grandchildren, Joshua Davenport, Gabi Gerlach, Jericho McCoy, Jordyn Winkler and Juliette Wade; nine great-grandchildren, Brooklynne Cooper, Paris Gerlach, Rio McCoy, Lundyn Gerlach, Italy McCoy, Ireland Winkler, Autumn Winkler, Emma Winkler, Bella McCoy and great-great grandchild, Malachi Pope.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Funeral Services for Don will be 2:30 pm, Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Dr. Sam Bailey officiating.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR, with Tom Ross, Jack Wade, Kacy Combs, Mason Jones, Dr. Mark Ungerank and Mark Cox as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Davenport, James Ernest and Shaun Gerlach.
