A Celebration of Life for Donald Duane Foulk of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, will be 5:00 pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Bull Shoals, with Pastor Jerry Backus officiating.
Donald passed away June 12, 2015, at the age of 80 in Bull Shoals, Arkansas. He was born April 11, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Harold and Margaret Kimball Foulk. He married his wife of 62 years, Gretchen Neff on September 28, 1952 in Illinois. Donald worked for Rock Island Railroad and Weather Tite of Arkansas. He moved to Bull Shoals in 1952 and built the Driftwood Resort with his brother in law, George Ferguson. Donald operated the no longer existing ESSO station in Bull Shoals, was a fishing guide on Bull Shoals Lake and finally owned and operated A-1 Cabinets in Bull Shoals, AR. He was dedicated to his community as a member of the Lions Club and the Bull Shoals Historical Society and a volunteer for the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Gaston's Visitor Center and the Bull Shoals Theater. He loved to fish, play golf and was huge Roy Rogers Fan.
Donald is survived by his wife, Gretchen Foulk of Bull Shoals, AR; daughter, Debra Kay Smith of Bryant, AR; sons, Duane Foulk of Plant City, FL and Greg Foulk of Bull Shoals, AR; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Winifred Ferguson.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or First Baptist Church of Bull Shoals.
