A memorial service for Donald R. Gesme of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be Thursday, May 5th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Kirby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Ludwig officiating. Mr. Gesme died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 94. He was born June 20, 1916 in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, the son of Clarence and Anna (Thousand) Gesme. He married Catherine (Rocca) Gesme on August 10, 1940 at Detroit, Michigan and worked in the Marketing Department for Phillips Petroleum for 41 years. Mr. Gesme lived in Mountain Home since 1981, moving from Overland Park, Kansas. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Des Moines, Iowa, and was 32nd Degree Mason. He is survived by his son, Tom Gesme, and his wife Virginia, of Greensboro, GA; grandchildren, Deborah Tipperreiter, and her husband Jim, of Mundelein, IL, and David Gesme of Spring, Texas, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a sister, Hazel Braudt. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
