Funeral Services for Donald LeRoy Jenson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 A.M, Monday, February 8, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Pastor Richard Jebsen officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:00 P.M., Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Donald passed away February 3, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 91. He was born September 15, 1924, in Colfax, Wisconsin, the son of Roy and Rose Ellingson Jenson. He married Arlene Giere on May 8, 1948, at Menomonie, Wisconsin and was a truck driver for Chippewa Motor Freight. Donald was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Donald lived in Mountain Home since moving from Naperville, Illinois, in 1982. He was an extremely active charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, a member of the board of commissioners for the Northeast Lakeside Fire Department, a member of the American Legion, and was active with the American Aid for Lutherans. He was a handyman and enjoyed woodworking and camping.
Donald is survived by his wife, Arlene Jenson of Mountain Home, AR; three daughters, Sandra (Randy) DeMatoff of Arvada, CO, Diane (William, Sr.) Liaromatis of Mountain Home, AR, and Bonita Ague of Centennial, CO; five grandchildren, Jim Liaromatis, Amy Crawford, Tom Ague, Kristin Zimmerman and Don Fury and eight great-grandchildren, Brianna Liaromatis, Ashley Liaromatis, Colton Crawford, Chase Crawford, Travis Ague, Ryan Ague, Jacob Zimmerman and Luke Zimmerman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Bill Liaromatis, Jr. and David Ague.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 and the United States Navy Honor Guards.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
