Donald Mallett

A Private Graveside Service for Don Mallett of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Don passed away January 14, 2012, in Springfield, MO at the age of 79. He was born January 18, 1932, in Coal City, IL, the son of Lawrence and Emily Mushro Mallett. He married Arlene Johnson on April 3, 1961, at Carpentersville, IL and worked in construction. Don was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1974, moving from St. Charles, IL. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Don is survived by his wife, Arlene Mallett, of Mountain Home, AR; son, Arlynd (Alecia Miller) Mallett, of Mountain Home, AR; 4 daughters, Michelle (Gary) Vincent, of Gassville, AR, Kelly (Craig) Parker, of Mountain Home, AR, Nicole (Richard) Mattey, of Mountain Home, AR, Rhonda Jodlowsky, of MI; 1 sister, Mary Lou Stefanek of Crestville, IL; 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 1 grandchild. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with military honors provided by Alley-White American legion Post #52 Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the Mallet Family, at Community First National Bank in Mountain Home. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
