Donald Marshall Martin was born March 1, 1928 in Nova, Ohio. He was son of David Monroe Martin and Shaby Toler Martin. He married Charlene Richards in Monterey, California, December 10, 1949. He lived in the Clarkridge area since moving from Rockford, Illinois in 1984. He was a machinist with Hydro-Line Manufacturing Company and served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed playing guitar, singing and writing country music. He also enjoyed the outdoors, riding horses, bush hogging and mowing the yard. Donald Marshall Martin entered eternal rest at his residence, March 28, 2006 at the age of 78 years and 27 days. Survivors: His wife of fifty-six years, Charlene Martin of Clarkridge, Arkansas; three sons, Donald M. (Robin) Martin, Jr., of Machesney Park, Illinois, Harland D. (Lynnette) Martin of Roscoe, Illinois, and Marian M. (Fawn) Martin of Rockton, Illinois; two daughters, Donna J. (Bill) Manley of Gladewater, Texas and Terry K. (Gordy)Skattum of Rockford, Illinois; eleven grandchildren, Martin, Kathleen, Jennifer, Megan, Asa, Laura, Tesa, Chelsea, Justine, Darcy and Paige; and one great-granddaughter, Kimberly Charlene Martin of Mountain Home, Arkansas Preceded in Death by: His parents, two brothers and two sisters Visitation: 9:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, March 31 Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2006, Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverand Harold Barnett officiating Burial: Bentley Ridge Cemetery, Baxter County Memorials: Clarkridge Volunteer Fire Department Active Bearers: Gerald Farris, Donald M.
