A Memorial Service for Donald Ralph Nye of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Reverend David Gadbaw officiating.
Donald passed away April 5, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 85. He was born February 26, 1930, in Berwyn, Illinois, the son of Ralph Litton and Gladys Neitzel Litton. Later in life he was adopted by step-father, George Nye. He married Frances Dulski on September 9, 1975, at Ottawa, Illinois and worked as a truck driver. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Donald lived in Mountain Home since 2005, moving from Florida. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and enjoyed model trains and going to the gun range.
Donald is survived by his wife, Frances Nye of Mountain Home, AR: four daughters, Debra Tomasello of Rathdrum, ID, Donna (Edward Joseph, Sr.) Bogdan of Prentice, WI, Diane Nye of Berwyn, IL and daughter, Denise Nye of WI and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Allen Nye.
Inurnment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to the North Central Arkansas Humane Society.
