Donald Lee Tilley

Donald Lee Tilley, 82, of Gassville, Arkansas, passed away on October 18, 2024. Born on July 23, 1942, to Roy and Ida Tilley, Don lived a life rich in family, friendships, and outdoor adventures. Don married Carolyn Morris on December 24, 1962. He is survived by his wife, their son Bucky (Kimberly)Tilley, grandchildren Rayne, Kira, and Trakkar Tilley, and many nieces and nephews. A skilled outdoorsman, Don guided fishing trips on Lake Norfork and the White River from a young age. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, taking particular pride in learning turkey hunting from his son. Don enjoyed camping with family and friends, and in later years, found joy in watching deer and birds at home. Don owned and operated Don's Barber Shop in Mountain Home for over forty years. He was known for his storytelling abilities and warm nature. Above all, Don will be remembered as a valued friend, loving husband, devoted father, and adoring grandfather. His storytelling gift and welcoming presence made him cherished by all who knew him. Don Tilley's life exemplified the values of family and community. He will be deeply missed, but the love he shared will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service for Don will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Gary Wise officiating. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Robert Tilley, Jim Tilley, Marvin Brandon, Neil Rasmussen, Justin Brandon, and Kevin Stafford as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Holzhauser and Richard Chapman. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Ozarks.
