A Memorial Service for Donald Ray Werk of Midway, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Vince Daniel officiating.
Donald passed away January 2, 2016, in Midway, Arkansas, at the age of 79. He was born October 6, 1936, in Nebraska, the son of Robert and Clara Bruse Werk. He married Marilyn Reppel on April 24, 1965, in Belleville, Illinois, and was an aircraft mechanic for McDonnell Douglas, Ozark Airlines, and TWA. Donald was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Donald lived in Midway since moving from St. Charles, Missouri, in 1998. He was a member of the Twin Lakes Gun Club and he enjoyed building and flying model remote control airplanes, boating, and fishing.
Donald is survived by his wife, Marilyn Werk of Midway, AR; son, Michael (Carla) Werk of Imperial, MO; and three granddaughters, Elise, Emily, and Lily.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Deanna.
Burial will be in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois, with military honors provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
