Dorah "Jean" Gilligan

Dorah " Jean" Gilligan of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away November 9, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 91. She was born March 11, 1933, in Brighton, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Dora Ferrier Smith. She married David on September 6, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa and worked as a President/Business Owner of their own company. Jean lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since moving from Caufield, Missouri in 2015. She was the first paralegal in the state of Minnesota, President of the Arabian Horse Association. Jean enjoyed, riding, training and breeding horses. She was also known for having a knack for numbers.

Dorah is survived by her husband, David Gilligan; son, Doug Gilligan; daughter, Jeanette (James Hill) Champagne; sisters Shirley Robertson and Pepper Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Pat Hyde.
