Doras Irey

Doras died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 94. She was born Sunday, June 22, 1913 in Henderson County, Illinois, daughter of Theodore R. and Anna Marie Weidhuner Johnson . She married Angus Irey on November 25, 1937 at St. Louis, MO. She worked as a Registered Nurse for hospitals in Illinois. Doras was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Nurse Corp. She lived in Mountain Home for 35 years moving from Maywood, Illinois. She was a member of Ozark VFW Post #3246. Survivors: Doras Irey is survived by 1 son, Rodney Irey of Wheaton, Illinois, 3 grandchildren; Joel Harris of Mustacine, Iowa, John Irey, Chicago, Illinois, and Susan Clark of Arlington Heights, Illinois, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral: A graveside memorial service for Doras L. Irey of Mountain Home, AR, will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 30, 2008 at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with the North Central Arkansas Veteran's Council, through the Ozark VFW Post # 3246 officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
