A Funeral Service for Doreen Merrifield Russum, 88, of Flippin, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Friday, April 22, 2016, at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette, LA, with Reverend Duane Petersen officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 21, 2016, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA.
Doreen passed away April 17, 2016, at Twin Lakes Therapy Center in Flippin, Arkansas surrounded by her family and those who lovingly cared for her for the last several years. She was born September 19, 1927, in Bristol, England, the daughter of Robert and Lily Alfrey Merriefield.
Doreen is survived by her son, Robert (Penny) Russum of Fairview, AR; daughter, Bettina Credeur of Port Barre, LA; one sister, Hazel Beard; one brother, Jimmy Merrifield; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, William Russum.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
