Doris Berberich

Funeral Services for Doris Bodenhamer Berberich of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the East Side Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Shy, Rev. Bill Hughes and Rev. Pat Bodenhamer officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 p.m Monday with the family recieving friends from 5:00 until 7:00 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Doris died Friday, October 1, 2010 at Good Samaritan Village, at the age of 81. Doris was born March 13, 1929 in Prague, OK, the daughter of Roy and Florence Talburt Easley. She married David James "Deber" Bodenhamer on January 12, 1946 in Mountain Home. After his death she married Michael Berberich in 1989 at Mountain Home. After graduating from Mountain Home High School she and Deber owned and operated a grocery store in Gassville. She then later worked at the McDonald-Douglas Aircraft plant in Midway and she eventually retired as the Human Resources Administrator for Baxter-Travenol Lab. Doris was a lifetime resident of the Mountain Home area and was a member of the East Side Baptist Church in which she was very active.

Doris is survived by her husband Mike Berberich, two sons; Jim (Julie) Bodenhamer and Joe (Annette) Bodenhamer, both of Mountain Home, 2 grandsons; Kevin (Tarina) Bodenhamer, Shelby (Jaime) Bodenhamer, 5 granddaughters; Angela (James) Theisen, Tonya (Tim) Wyler, and Tracy (Jeffrey) Ott, Amanda & Allie Stewart, 14 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law; Margie Bodenhamer, 3 nephews; Bob (Kathy) Bodenhamer and Buster (Cathy) Bodenhamer, Jarrett (Jackie) Easley, one niece; Kelda (Dale) Jones, several cousins including Caroline Brooks Perdue and Curtis Brooks, and one sister-in-law; Nadine Easley, 4 step-sons; Steve, Stan, Matthew and Nathan Berberich and several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, parents and one brother Kenneth Easley.

Burial will be in the Mountain Home Cemetery with Kevin, Shelby, Bob, and Buster Bodenhamer, Jarrett Easley and Curtis Brooks serving as pallbearers and the staff of Good Samaritan Village as honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Mountain Home Cemetery Association or the Baxter County Library Foundation.
