A Funeral Service for Doris B. Hambleton of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel Bull Shoals. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm, until time of service.
Doris passed away April 28, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 89. She was born February 24, 1928, in Wood River, Illinois, the daughter of Cleo and Winnie Eades Waters. Doris worked as a registered nurse. She was an active volunteer in the community of Bull Shoals and worked with Camp Quality through her Church of Christ in Mountain Home, AR. Doris loved to play bingo and collect owls.
Doris is survived by her son, David Robbins of Bull Shoals, AR; sisters, Marilyn Whittington of Marquette Heights, IL and Phyliss Van De Mark of Bull Shoals, AR; step-daughters, Debbie Inman, Barbara Brooks and Brenda Cermak all of IL; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, David Hambleton.
Burial will be in the Newton Flat Cemetery, Bull Shoals, AR.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
