A celebration of life for Doris L. Fletcher Reeves of Mountain Home, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 28 at First Presbyterian Church in Mountain Home with Dr. Fred Taylor officiating.
Doris passed away November 12 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 91. She was born October 21, 1925, in Newbern, Tennessee, the daughter of Joe M. and Beatrice Johnson Enochs. Doris married Dr. B. D. Fletcher April 21, 1946 and moved to Mountain Home in 1947. After his death, she married H. Wayne Reeves on February 8, 1987, at Mountain Home.
Doris was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and charter member of both the Baxter County Hospital (now BRMC) Auxiliary and the Twin Lakes Golf Association. She was one of the original volunteers at Hospice of the Ozarks. She spent many years volunteering for and supporting local education and hunger initiatives, the Baxter County Library and many worthwhile organizations.
Doris is survived by her son, Clark S. (Janice) Fletcher of Mountain Home, AR; step-son, Gary W. (Mary) Reeves of Pittsford, NY; grandchildren, Ryan Clark Fletcher of St. Louis, MO and Sara Lindsey Fletcher of Charlottesville, VA; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Enochs and Margie Enochs, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband and father of her 2 children, Dr. B. D. Fletcher; second husband, H. Wayne Reeves; son, Sidney Lee Fletcher; brothers, Joe, Tom and Harold Enochs and sister, Mary Beth Robinson.
Memorials may be made to Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation, Hospice of the Ozarks or the Baxter County Library Foundation.
