Dorothea Kopriva died Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 72. She was born Saturday, November 7, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Irvin and Agnes Lustrow Kozak. She married Stanley Kopriva on November 15, 1958 at Chicago, Illinois and worked as an Office Manager for Wright Advertising in Chicago. She and Stanley had lived in Mountain Home since 1995 moving from Chicago, and they were the owners and operators of the Sunrise Point Resort. She was a good-natured and loving wife and mother, an Elvis Presley fan, collected thimbles from all over, enjoyed sewing, liked to go swimming, and loved receiving flowers. Survivors: Dorothea is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George (Janice) Kopriva of Mountain Home, AR; sister, Betty Mae Thomas of Illinois; grandchildren, George Kopriva, Jr. and Crystal Kopriva; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Rosemary Kamykowski, Lorraine Stastny and Bruce Griffin. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M., Tuesday, February 3 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral services for Dorothea H. Kopriva of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Paul Poulousky officiating. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks.
