Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the funeral home. Dorothy died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 91. She was born August 29, 1919 in Fulton County, Illinois, the daughter of George and Mildred (Stephens) Willard. She married Earl Lewis Dixon at Fairview, Illinois on February 14, 1942. They moved from Farmington, Illinois to Mountain Home in 1976. All have preceded her in death. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Karen Miller and Peggy (Tom) Fazio both of Mountain Home, AR. She has seven grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild all of whom will miss her loving smiles and hugs. Dorothy has given many years of faithful service to the American Legion Auxiliary from the National level down through Department, District and several terms as Unit President. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Women of the Moose, La Societe De Femme and most recently President of the Residents Council at Good Samaritan, Mountain Home. She delighted in working with others and always had time to give to a good cause. Her life was made rich by all who came in contact with her and we know that theirs was enriched by her. Though she has left her earthy bounds, we know she will live in our hearts forever. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Society of Mountain Home Scholarship Program. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
