A Funeral Mass for Dorothy Helen Gross of Bradford, Tennessee, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Stan Swiderski officiating.
Dorothy died Friday, September 17, 2010 at Bailey Park Community Living Center, in Humboldt, TN at the age of 96. Dorothy was born February 14, 1914 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Michael and Anna Touhy Maher. She married Edward Gross on September 16, 1939 at Chicago, IL. She was a Homemaker. She and her husband moved from Chicago, IL to Mountain Home in 1975 where she remained until 2005, before moving to Bradford, TN to live with her family. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and the Catholic Council of Women.
Dorothy is survived by daughter, Barbara (Allan) Davis of Bradford, TN; grandson, Jason (Keri) Davis of Milan, TN; great-grandson, Trey Davis of Milan, TN; brother, Edward Maher of Chicago, IL and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Michael and Frank Maher, and 2 sisters, Marion Blythe, and Ceal Rice.
Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with William Bulow, Ray Maurice, George Murphy, Brian Schwartz, Paul Schwarz, and Frank Vlasic as pallbearers.
