Dorothy Delano Johnson (97) of Jordon, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at her home.
She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 30, 1925 to the late Clearie Price and Jessie Watson Price.
Dorothy was an extremely loving and caring woman all of her life. In her younger years, she was a caregiver at a hospital. Dorothy had eight children whom she raised on her own. She loved going to church and enjoyed her time teaching Sunday school. Dorothy liked to read her bible, write songs, and going fishing. She was a special woman to all those that knew her and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Berlie Johnson, and all of her seven siblings.
She is survived by her children; Addie Hicks, Roy (Robbie) Hoyle, Sammy Hoyle, Billy (Carol) Hoyle, Paul Hoyle, Jirld Hoyle, Cindy (Bill) Drazer, and Oscar (Naneth) Hoyle. She is also survived by twenty four grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren, and numerus great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Lamb officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Bald knob - Judsonia chapel. Interment will follow at the Lonoke Cemetery in Lonoke, Arkansas. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Isaac Gibbs, Jacob Gibbs, Stephen Gibbs, Johnathan Gibbs, Alijah Guerra, and Ryan Horowitz.
