Dorothy Earlene McGehee

A Funeral Service for Dorothy Earlene McGehee of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Friday, December 7, 2018, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Noel Moore and Brother Daryl Pitts officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and Friday, December 7, 2018, from 10:00 am until service time, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Dorothy passed away December 2, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 75. She was born September 22, 1943, in Fairview, Arkansas, the daughter of Earl and Ola Martin Gammill. She married Cleon McGehee on October 12, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, and was a security officer for J.C. Penny. They moved from Chicago to Onia, Arkansas in 1995. Then, in 2008 Dorothy and Cleon moved to Mountain Home. She was a member of the Blue Mountain Missionary Baptist Church from 1996 until 2008, and Unity Missionary Baptist Church since 2008. She enjoyed playing guitar, piano, and singing in the church choir.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Cleon McGehee of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Todd (Donna "Corkey") McGehee of Carol Stream, IL and son, Trevor (Karen) McGehee of Mountain Home, AR; brother, L.C. (Francis) Gammill of Timbo, AR; sister, Nola (Luther) Morrison of Timbo, AR; and six grandchildren, Trevor, Joshua, Nathan, Natalie, Jacob, and Andrew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Harvey and Guymon Gammill.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
