Dorothy Rice

Dorothy Lela Rice was born August 28, 1920 in Agricola, Kansas. She was the daughter of Jesse and Nellie Bennett Brock. She married Harold Rice on March 30, 1940 in Sacramento, California. Mrs. Rice was a homemaker and lived in Cotter for twenty-one years, after moving from California. Dorothy Lela Rice passed away at her residence on August 28, 2005, at the age of 85 years. Survivors: Her husband of 65 years, Harold Rice of Cotter, Arkansas; two sons, William Rice of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Larry Rice of Gassville, Arkansas; a daughter, Joann Cline (Robert) of Cotter, Arkansas; five sisters, Bonnie Rice of Gardner, Kansas, Marie Rice of Orangevale, California, Rosa Landenberger of Olathe, Kansas, Bessie Patterson of Citrus Heights, California, and Josephine Rose of Clarksburg, California; twelve grandchildren; and thirty-six great-grandchildren Preceded in Death by: Her parents, a son, and a brother Funeral: Private Burial: Central Cemetery, Pomona
