She was born November 29, 1923, at Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Raymond and Ellen Wheeler Swan. She married Leo V. Rose on April 1, 1945 at Bussey, Iowa. She and her husband started Rose's Trout Dock in Norfork in 1957. She was a former member of the Rebecca - Order of the Odd fellows, enjoyed doing all kinds of volunteer work around her community, member of the White River Trout Dock Association and former secretary of the Lake Norfork Association. Mrs. Rose lived in Norfork since 1957 before moving to Walnut Ridge, Arkansas in 2005. Survivors: Dorothy Rose is survived by 2 sons, David Rose, of Caulfield, MO, Max Rose, of Walnut Ridge, AR, 1 brother Roger Swan, of Hobson, Montana, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral: Memorial services for Dorothy Irene Rose of Walnut Ridge, AR will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday August 7, 2006 at Norfork United Methodist Church with Bob and Kay Burton officiating.
