Dorothy J. Stone was born January 19, 1926 at Holly Springs, Mississippi, to Frank and Laura (Hollbrock) Gill. She married Norman Stone Sr. in 1944 at Blytheville, Arkansas. She was a Retail Sales clerk who worked at W.T. Grant Co. Dorothy lived in Mountain Home for 32 years, moving from West Memphis.She was an active member of the Oakland Hilltop Baptist Church where she played piano and organ for many years. She loved to cook for her family and work in her garden. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She died Saturday, September 09, 2006 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 20 days. Survivors: 2 sons: Butch Stone of Maumelle, Arkansas., and Ronnie Stone, of New Orleans, Louisiana. 10 grandchildren Dennis Stone, Jessica Kirby, Jeannie Reynolds, Shana Stone, Justin Stone, Dustin Stone, Kayle Stone, Scott Stone, Wendy Dabbous. 11 great-grandchildren Kendall & Kendra Wallace, Micaela & Meagan Wagner, Jonathan & Julianna Reynolds, Sierra Stone, Olivia and Mica Kirby, Claudia and Camaron Stone, Zachary & Joshua Dabbous, 2 nephews Teddy Murphy, Gill Murphy, and 1 niece, Jan Murphy. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral: Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Greenslade officiating. Burial: Burial will be private. Memorials: Oakland Hilltop Baptist Church
