A Funeral Service for Dorothy B. Troeger of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor John Easterling officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
Dorothy Barbara Hegmann Troeger, 93, of Mountain Home AR, passed away Thursday, July 2nd , 2015 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 93.
Dorothy was born in Bronx, New York on September 25, 1921, to Edward and Katherine Warnefeld Hegmann. She married Rudolph (Rudy) Kurt Troeger on January 31st, 1942, who passed away December 27, 1983. They were married 41 years.
She was a homemaker for most of her life. In her earlier years she was a beautician and later she worked at Mar-Bax Shirt Co. in Gassville, Arkansas where her husband was General Manager. Over the 41 years of their marriage they lived in six states and moved 28 times.
Dorothy volunteered at Baxter Regional Medical Center for over 30 years, where she was known as the “Lady with the Red Glasses”.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Robert (Bob) Troeger and wife, Karen of Mountain Home; three grandchildren, Kimberly (James) Harris of Titusville, FL, Christopher (Maria) Troeger of Little Rock, AR, and Michael (Lindsey) Troeger of Little Rock, AR; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Mathew, and Stephen Harris all of Titusville, FL; nephew, Kurt Troeger (Linda) of Grapevine,TX; and niece, Leah Einhorn of Delray Beach FL.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Frances Einhorn, and nephew, Douglas Einhorn.
Inurnment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
