A Graveside Service for Douglas Arlen Rodenbaugh of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be Friday, February 8, 2013, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Wednesday, February 06, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Doug passed away February 3, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 93. He was born September 20, 1919, in Barberton, Ohio, the son of John and Eva Rodenbaugh. He married Mary Lea Walker on May 11, 1968, at Newport Beach, California and worked as a Police Officer. Doug was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII and a member of the Flying Tigers. Douglas lived in Mountain Home, since 1981, moving from Las Vegas, Nevada. For several years, he had the task of taking care of his wife, Mary. He attended Riverside Church of Christ in Gassville, Arkansas and was a member of the BPOE (ELKS). In his later years, he enjoyed eating and spending time with the patrons and employees of El Chico Cafe. Doug is survived by his son, George Clayton of Arvada, CO; grandson, Christopher Clayton of Tuscon, AZ; granddaughter, Kyrsten Clayton of Morrison, CO; daughter-in-law, Laurice Cady of Morrison, Co and special friends, Jim and Sheila Wingard and their children, Ashley, Michael and Drew Berkshire of Little Rock, AR and Jason Crook, of Mountain Home, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #30. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
