Earl L. Dowell

Earl L Dowell of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, passed away November 20, 2024, in Bull Shoals, Arkansas at the age of 83. He was born September 2, 1941, in Lafayette, Indiana, the son of Elgan and Gertrude Cordray Dowell. Earl married the love of his life, Mary Sukley on January 27, 1984, in Joliet, Il. He spent much of his career as an engineer for Caterpillar, a role he cherished and dedicated himself to as his life's work. In 2005, Earl and Mary moved to Bull Shoals, Arkansas , where Earl became an active member of the community, hosting Bible studies and passionately sharing his faith with others, bringing many to Christ. 

Earl is survived by his wife, Mary Dowell of Bull Shoals, AR; son, David (Emily) Dowell of Shorewood, IL; daughters, Debbie Larweth of Mountain Home, AR and Charmaine M. Spreitzer of Crest Hill, IL; grandchildren, Catherine Bartolomei , Daniellle (Travis) Rokey, Robert (Lexie) Dowell, Dakota Branham; great-grandchildren, Alexus Miller, Jaxon Bartolomei, Tony Dowell, Olivia Dowell and Nathan Dowell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Colette "Coco" Gruenwald. 

A Celebration of Life for Earl will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel - Bull Shoals, with Pastor Shane Milner officiating. Entombment will be private in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, AR. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks. 

Earl's legacy of love, faith and dedication to his family will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
