Earl F. Kahle was born October 28, 1916 in River Grove, Illinois. He was the son of the late Frank and Sophie Kahle. He married Sigrid Vensberg on October 3, 1936 in Rivergrove, Illinois. Earl attended the Lutheran Church School and Leyden High School in Franklin Park, Illinois, and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. In 1974 after 32 of service, he retired from the Illinois Bell Telephone Company where he was a district installation superintendent. Following his retirement, he and his wife, Sigrid, retired to Lakeview. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Bull Shoals. He served as an Elder and Deacon of the church. Earl was a member of the Bull Shoals Rotary Club, Fun Timers Square Dance Group, Retired Fisherman's Club and a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. For several years he enjoyed volunteering with developmentally disabled children at the Pinkston School in Mountain Home through the Partners in Education program. He enjoyed woodcarving, golf and the art of painting. Earl Kahle entered into eternal rest May 17, 2005 in Lakeview, Arkansas at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 18 days. Survivors: His beloved wife of 69 years, Sigrid; three children, Jerald and his wife Carol, James and his wife Flora,andJudith and her husband Paul Quinn; seven grandchildren, Finn Yonkers, Eric, Troy, Jorge, Gerald, Christopher Kahle and Jennifer Crow; four great-grandchildren;and one sister, Marjorie Novota Preceded in Death by: Parents and one sister Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church of Bull Shoals.
